Located at the confluence of Jubera and Leza rivers, our vineyards (1900) are planted on clay-ferrous soils, at an altitude between 407 and 420 meters.

The Mediterranean climate, with little rainfall well distributed throughout the year, and the predominance of rainfed farming, turn Murillo into a privileged location for grape growing. This results in the highest quality of grapes, whose production is naturally regulated by the natural water stress experienced by the plant.

The experience and enthusiasm of our grape growers, adviced by our experts, do the rest, thus obtaining outstanding results of our best terroirs.

The grapes which constitute the basis for our wines enter inside the winery at their optimum level of ripeness and under total oenological control.

VIURA: the main white variety. The oldest vineyard from which our winery produces its unique white wines dates back to 1900.

TEMPRANILLO: predominant red grape (90%) dates from 1956. The flagship variety in La Rioja, essential for the production of fresh and aromatic young wines (quita coma) and unique for our deep and complex long-keeping wines.

GRENACHE, MAZUELO and GRACIANO: these red grapes, indigenous varieties, make up the remaining 10%, adding color, elegance and originality to Tempranillo. The resulting coupage is a unique wine on the nose and mouth.

A meticulous expert advice from technical staff at vineyards in order to control the annual cycle of the vineyard, from pruning to the treatments to be performed, thoroughly monitoring each plot so that the final top quality of wine is ensured.

Continuous analytical and sensory stablishments carried out at the vineyard will determine the optimal ripeness of the grapes, thus helping us to set the harvest date.
