DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: D. O. Ca. La Rioja.
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Tempranillo.
ELABORATION: This wine comes from grapes from vineyards planted before 1940 cultivated in irrigated in ferrous clay loam soil. The conduction system of the plant is the beaker. The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of October. Was the alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of
25 ºC during 16 days by applying soft tannins to extract soft and ripe tannins and preserving all its aromatic richness. Aged in new French oak casks (60 %) and American (40 %) for 14 months. Refining in bottle for a year. Limited Edition of 9146 bottles.
This wine will be released to the market only in the great vintages of the winery.
Tasting Notes: attractive red color of garnet very intense. Complex aromas of ripe red fruits (raspberries) and blackberries, licorice, chocolate black very well co-ordinated with a wide range of spices, and balsamic notes very fresh, fine and elegant. On the palate it displays blunt, round and smooth, with great meatiness. Very tasty. Intense and persistent aftertaste.
